The Kent Science Resource Centre is dedicated to the provision of training for laboratory technologists.The Centre managed by Mid Kent college delivers a foundation degree in Life Science Laboratory Technology and Bio-manufacturing. The degree is accredited by the University of Kent and is designed to fill a range of Life Science industry skills gaps.Students on the course have so far achieve placements at leading laboratories and the first cohort will be graduating in 2009.
The Kent Science Resource Centre is available to tenants of Kent Science Park and outside organisations as a venue for training, conferences and seminars. Each lab and training room is suitable for up to 20 students and the facility can be booked along with the conference centre and lecture theatre for larger teaching numbers.
The facility is suitable for a range of further education purposes, such as continuing professional development for working laboratories, science teachers, technicians and teaching assitants. Schools are encouraged to use the facility to demonstrate hands-on practical skills in a working laboratory environment.
The facility opened in September 2007 to great critical acclaim. It boasts unrivaled fully equipped science laboratories and training rooms.

Laboratory 1 - Basic Chemistry - £180 per day
Laboratory 2 - Basic Bioscience - £500 per day

Science Masterclasses for 14-19 year olds
The Kent Science Resource Centre and Kent Science Park has designed a range of half day masterclasses aimed at inspiring young people in the laboratory environment. The Science Masterclass is a unique experience for young people to learn in a working laboratory environment which itself is located in one of the UK's leading science parks.
